Lanada Wilcox

Lanada M. Wilcox, 75, of Chillicothe, died at 10:10am, February 26, 2007, at Grant Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born August 3, 1931, in Leon, WV, to Theodore R. and Adda I. Hodges Thomas. On July 4, 1951, she married Robert A. Wilcox, who preceded her in death on August 17, 2005. Surviving are her son Jonathan Wilcox and his partner Dayton Duvall, of Gahanna; daughter and son-in-law Sherry L. (John) Vest, Chillicothe; her mother Adda I. Miller, Point Pleasant, WV; brothers and sisters-in-law Clarence (Pat) Thomas, Carroll, OH; and David (Karen) Thomas, Point Pleasant, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a special companion "Brewster." She was predeceased by her father. Lanada worked as a cashier for Big Bear Grocery and was a make-up consultant. She was a Christian woman and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Haller's where an OES service will be held at 6:30pm.
