Ladonna Mae Ackley-Newland

February 9, 1951 — March 14, 2024

LaDonna Mae Ackley-Newland,

Born February 9, 1951, daughter of the late Samuel E. Ackley and Ruth L. Beckman, peacefully passed away graciously March 14 th surrounded by family.

An engraved stone only tells when we lived. It doesn't tell the story of how we lived and leaving the world a better place. Without LaDonna, the world would not have been as cheerful. LaDonna took pride in her beauty on the outside. What made her exquisitely stunning was her generous warm giving nature. Although extremely stubborn, to her family she was the pillar of who we want to be. LaDonna was someone who did not judge others for their shortcomings or what someone had or did not have. Instead, she gave help to people in need that were less fortunate and treated them with respect, welcoming them with open arms.  As a mother, LaDonna continuously made sure her children had before she did. I remember when she was a young mother her children had outgrown their clothes and hers were worn. Needing clothes herself she sacrificed to make sure they had what they needed before she ever thought about herself. With this being said, LaDonna showed love, selflessness, and dedication to her daughters. To her Grandchildren she was beyond devoted and not just a doting granny she was mom. In the tough days ahead her love and guidance will always be with them. We will celebrate all that you are and all that we are because of you. Until we meet again our family is not whole.

Sadly, she leaves behind her daughters Tanya Chaney (Mike), Carrie Ford (Chris), and Choncita (Cita Lyn) Ackley (Carl) grandchildren Zander, Gracie, Savannah, Skylar, and Ariel, step grandchild Zoe Ford, step great grandchildren Amaya and Amara, Her brothers Duane Ackley (Polly), Anthony Ackley Sisters Jeanie Mitchell (Tim), Cindy Self (Roma), and Janine Schimdt (Steve).  She will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and stepsons. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tommy, sisters Susan Elaine Ackley, Jamie Ruth Beckman, stepsisters Rose Miley, Cheryl Walters. Brother Samuel E. Ackley Jr (Bubby).
