Kevin Dane DePoy, 59, of South Salem, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born February 9, 1965, in Chillicothe, Ohio, one of three children to the late Charles Roger DePoy and Dixie Lee (Dewey) DePoy, who survives. His brother, Bradley DePoy preceded him in death in 2014, and his sister, Cathi Coy survives.
In addition to his mother and sister, Kevin is survived by his beloved daughter, Breylee DePoy, who was his pride and joy in life; also surviving are nieces and nephews, Colton (Jenny) Coy, Casi (Josh) Army, Cara (Dylan) Kight, and Ellie DePoy; his aunt, Ginger (Richard) Breitenbach; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
Kevin was a graduate of Unioto High School, class of 1983. He went on to get his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 1987. He was employed with IMS for the next 17 years as a System Engineer Service Manager, and spent time working at Mead Paper Company as an outside contractor. In his free time, he loved spending time watching his daughter play sports at Adena. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, taking Breylee fishing, and spending time with his loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:00pm until the time of the service.
