Kenneth Cousins

Kenneth Percy Cousins Jr. departed this life on September 13, 2014 at home, Columbus, OH, after an extended illness. He was born July 11, 1934 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Kenneth (Pete) and Leona Steward Cousins Sr. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Warren and Michael and a sister, Mary Ann Wingo. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of fifty years, Dorothy Johnson Tyler Cousins, Columbus; daughters, Debra Taylor, Columbus and Holly Cousins, Chillicothe; sons, Kenneth III "Chip", Vacaville, CA and Jeffrey, Morrisville, NC; stepsons, George (Cindy) Tyler, Toledo, Charles "Chuck" Tyler, London, Wayne "Tony" and Tim Tyler Sr., both of Columbus; brothers, Edward (Sylvia) Cousins, Westerville and Garry Cousins, Buckeye, AZ; sisters, Marcia Cousins and Cathy (Malcolm) Green, both of Columbus and Barbara Beaty, Anaheim CA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; and other relatives. Before he became ill, Ken was an avid fisherman, hunter, bowler, golfer, horseman and genealogist. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a 1952 graduate of Chillicothe High School and retired from General Electric, Columbus. To anyone who said a prayer, gave a hug or smile, or showed any act of kindness in thought or deed, the Cousins family thanks you. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, with his sister-in-law Rev. Joan Cousins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 4-6 pm Thursday at Haller's.
