Keith Proehl

Keith J. Proehl, 71, of Chillicothe, died May 9, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, following an extended illness.   He was born June 7, 1951, in Chillicothe, to the late John L. and Mary B. (Groves) Proehl.   On April 5, 1975, he married the former Deborah A. Horn, who survives.   Also surviving are his aunts and uncle: Nancy Dempsey, Bobby Groves and Doris Smith; nephews David and Danny Horn; and many friends, including special friends Mike and Debbie Manson, and Tom and Linda Snyder and their families.     Keith had worked for Mead Paper Co. and NewPage prior to his retirement in 2009.   He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1969.   He was an avid bowler and rolled several 300 games.   He also coached Chillicothe High School bowling team for a couple of years.   He was a dedicated Ohio State fan and also enjoyed playing golf, especially in the VA golf league.   His funeral service will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, May 16, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.   Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.   The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.   His online guestbook is available at www.HallerFuneralHome.com
