Keith E. Parsons, 64, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, May 3, 2024 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.
Keith was born June 17, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Elda Mae Parsons (Wood). Survivors include his four children, Shana (Zach) McGoye, and Alisha (Chris) Gray, both of Chillicothe, and Bradley and Nathan Parsons, both of St. Clairsville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tucker McGoye, Miles Gray, and Aiden Gray; and three siblings, Denise Lambert and Sandy Harper, of Jackson and Richard Parsons, of Wellston. He was preceded in death by his mother, sister, Linda Brown, and brother, Russ Parsons.
Keith was a retired coal miner of 43 years. He worked 20 years below ground, and 23 years above ground for Murray Energy and Consol Energy. Following retirement, he enjoyed working part-time for Altmeyer Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, playing golf, and in his younger years, baseball. Keith also dearly loved his grandchildren.
The memorial service honoring Keith will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, 1661 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH, 45601. Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests anyone considering sending flowers or gifts instead make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Special Olympics.
