Keith Lee

January 24, 1943 — February 26, 2018

Keith L. Lee, 75, of Chillicothe, died February 26, 2018, at Grant Medical Center following a brief illness.   He was born January 24, 1943, in Chillicothe, OH to the late Burl and Anna Marie (Craddolph) Lee. On November 8, 1980, he married Sumantha L. (Thompson) Lee, who survives.   Also surviving are his children: Clark (Karen) Lee, Electa "Dawn" Lee, Keith (Tara) Lee II, Gina (Norman) Thomas; step-son: Raymond Powell; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Robert (Yvonne) Harris, Thomas Lee, Gregory Lee, Dezi (June) Lee, Toyia (Earl) Crosswhite, Dianiah (Bob) Washington, Charlene Lee; a host of nieces, nephews and others that thought of him as a dad, like Kendra Thomas and Lisa Morrison. He was predeceased by his step-daughter Latricia Powell; brothers: Paul and William Lee, and Joseph Harris; and a sister Nancy Lee.   Keith retired from the former Atomic Plant in Piketon where he worked as chemical operator. He also was a skilled carpenter and completed many projects and homes in the area. Keith was a consummate real estate investor who operated with a core belief that no one should be homeless. Keith obtained the certification to lay gas lines as well as certification to install plumbing. He took pride in making sure the homes that he built or rehabilitated were the envy of the neighborhood. He worked tirelessly through the community helping his neighborhood with everything from repairing their cars to their homes. Many a day Keith would be seen shoveling and cleaning sidewalks for the parishioners so they could make it safely to church.   A Celebration of his life will be held at 11am Saturday, March 3, at the Zion Baptist Church, 84 S. Clinton Rd., under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Obadiah Harris, Jr. officiating.
