Kathryn Smith

Kathryn Smith, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 5:45pm Sunday, July 19, 2009, in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1930, in Ross Co. to the late Stanley and Goldie Hawk Moss. In 1981, she married James Harrison Smith, who preceded her in death on March 12, 1993. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Randy (Susan) Smith, of Chillicothe; a daughter, of Chillicothe; one grandson; two great-grandsons; a sister Rose Countryman, Bainbridge; several nieces and nephews and her special feline companion "Bassie." She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, including a brother Pete Moss. Funeral services will be held at 6:45pm Wednesday, July 22, in the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor James Groves officiating. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 5pm until the time of the service Wednesday at Haller Funeral Home.
