Kathryn Locklear

Kathryn I. George Locklear, 76, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, August 11, 2008, following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Monday, August 18, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Elder Larry Grant officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. Kathryn was born May 16, 1932, in Ross Co. to the late Monroe A. and Etta Banks George. On January 3, 1949, she married Roger N. Locklear who preceded her in death. She is survived by her five children: Kim Lewis, Lompoc, CA; Keith Locklear, Grove City, OH; Kristy Locklear, Chillicothe; Kerri Locklear, Lompoc, CA; and Kray (Christina) Locklear, Fletcher, OK; five grandchildren: Clyster Lewis II, Cambi Lewis, Bethany Locklear, Brian Hughes and Emily Locklear; five great-grandchildren: Kray Lewis, Lakeysha Lewis, Gage Robison, Taylor Locklear, and Keith Meyers, Jr.; a sister Helen (John) G. Smith, Worthington, OH; a special niece Bonnie Thomas; special nephews Jonathan Smith and Jurred Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by twin daughters Julia and Janna Locklear; and a son Rev. Paul Krayton Locklear. She was a wonderful mother and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her children and family were the love of her life. Kathryn retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as an assistant chief in the dietetic department.
