Kathleen Ann (True) Rapp, age 59, of Ross County, Ohio, passed away after a sudden illness on September 20, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born on April 5.1966, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Polly Ann (Sparks) True and Michael Charles True (deceased).
Kathie was loved tremendously by her spouse, Luke Leon Rapp fo 40 years, her children: Kathryn Rapp (Kris and Rosie Martin) and Mary Ellen Rapp (Kyle Cabe). Her siblings include; Lori (Doug) Kirby, and Jennifer (Tom) Shaw; nieces and nephews, Emily (Michael) Kirby-Corriher, Dakota Davis (Bridgette and Blakely True), Michaela Kirby (Philip Hoy), Kaylee Hagen (Payne and Addison Thompson), Micah Hagen (Hunter Fuller), and Amber Rapp (Shea WIlford, Caydan, Wyatt, William, and Penelope).
Kathie was a mom to the mom-less, friend to the friend-less and Aunt Kathie to the rest. Her care for others was not abstract; it was evident in countless ways. She cared with her thoughts, words, time, and most notably, her actions. She showed up for people, for animals, and donated countless hours of time to the community. If you were in her world, you didn't have to wonder if she cared; she found a way to let you know. Each friend became family.
She acted. Kathie acted with love and without hesitation, never waiting on the sidelines. She was the first to pitch in and often the last one cleaning up or stacking chairs. She lingered for extra hugs and made sure that words of encouraagement, love, and gratitude were never left unspoken.
We will be celebrating Kathie's life on Wednesdat, October 1, 2025 at the Ross County Fairgrounds from 4-7pm, all are welcome. Please come comfortably and ready to share your favorite memories of our friend. If you have a favorite picture of Kathie, we would love you to bring it.
