Kathie Filsinger

Kathie Lee Filsinger, age 51 years, of Beverly, MA, died Sunday afternoon November 13, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Chillicothe, to the late Karl G. and Evelyn L. Filsinger. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1972. She attended Ohio University and graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 1976. She continued her education and graduated from Ohio State University with her Masters of Social Work. She had lived on the North Shore of Boston for the past 20 years and most recently had been a resident of Beverly. Kathie was a Polarity Therapist and worked in Holistic Massage, having received her certificates in both practices. She had worked as the Residential Director for Cadbury Commons in Cambridge and Brooksby Village in Peabody and had also been a Director at Ocean View here in Beverly. She was currently the Director of Admissions for Spa Tech Institute in Ipswich and was also self employed owning Sacred Touch Healing in Beverly. She was always looking and collecting information and knowledge to advance her healing abilities. She was a founder of One Heart Space and also was a member of the American Polarity Therapy Association. Surviving her are sister and brother, Karla Jo Ann Filsinger of Blacklick, OH; Mark A. Filsinger and his wife Cathy of Piqua, OH; 2 nieces, Kelly Jo Ann Westfall of Piqua, OH; Kari E. Armstrong of St. Paris, OH; one nephew Kristian J. Filsinger of Piqua, OH; one great nephew, Dylan D. Westfall and many friends. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the Haller Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation in Springbank Cemetery.
