Karl F. Brown Jr., 56, of Chillicothe, died Monday, February 6, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 19, 1966 in Chillicothe to the late Karl F. and Marion L. Liggins Brown. Survivors include three children, Karl (Brittani) Brown III, and Jeremy (Korinne Vest) Brown, of Chillicothe and Natori Brown, of Columbus; 8 grandchildren, Noah and Eli Brown, Pierce, Dallas, Madison, Jayda, and Kyrie Brown, and Brycen Brown; 3 siblings, Kyle (Ronald) Barfield, Tally (Traci Birchfield) Brown, and Monty (Vincent) Branson, all of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Timothy Brown and sister, Kim Taylor.
Karl was a lieutenant with the Ross Correctional Institution, a member of the SRT Team. He was a Chillicothe High School graduate of 1984 where he lettered in baseball, basketball and track. He took pride in continuing sports after high school, where he shared his sports passion with his children. He was a dedicated Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers fan. He was an energetic man who loved the outdoors. He was profoundly loyal, loved his family and loved sharing a laugh or a joke with all.
Karl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. While Karl left us far too soon, the impact he had on our family and friends will be felt for years to come.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Church of Deliverance, Pastor Jeremy Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00-1:00 at the church.
