Karen Kay Dennewitz

Karen K. Dennewitz, 70, of Chillicothe, passed away November 16 at her home after a brief battle with cancer.

She graduated from Chillicothe High School, Class of 1973. She retired from WKKJ Radio, where she worked as an office manager.

Karen was born on December 4, 1954, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Harold W. Shuster and Anna C. Lewis. On December 13, 1997, she married her late beloved husband, Donald Dennewitz.

She is survived by her daughter Candice (Chris) Hixson, Josh (Anna) Childs and stepchildren Donald (Sara) Jr., Ryan (Krista);grandchildren Troy and Lauren Hixson, Delilah Childs, Noah and Nora Dennewitz and Kendal Dennewitz. In addition to her father, mother and husband, Karen was predeceased by her daughter Erin Childs and sister Cheryl Smith.

Karen never met a stranger; she made friends easily. She enjoyed traveling to Sandusky and Lake Erie, making beaded jewelry and spending time with family and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be performed. Donations in Karen's memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 would be appreciated by the family.
