June Shelton

June E. Shelton, 60, of Chillicothe, formerly of Hillsboro, died at 7:32am Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at her home following a brief battle with cancer. She was born April 29, 1947, in Highland Co., to the late Donald and Olive Pearl (Rhoads) Walker. On February 2, 1976, she married Kelly Shelton, who survives. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Friday in Roland Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Hartley officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Danielle Shelton, Tampa, FL; step-sons Chad (Amanda) Shelton, Hillsboro; and Kelly Shelton, Tampa, FL; sisters Sharon Bell and Joyce Brotus; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul (Shirley) Shelton, all of Hillsboro. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Judy Maxwell. June worked as the food service coordinator for the Huntington School System. She was a graduate of Lynchburg Clay High School. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ, and loved to travel.
