June Dyer Hastings, 87, of Chillicothe, passed away at home on Monday, December 17, 2018.
She was born June 23, 1931, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Everett and Ada (Meeker) Dyer.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Becky (Keith) Sheets, of Rushville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim (Cheryl) McCloy, of Chillicothe; her sister, Virginia Kline; her sister-in-law, Helen Dyer; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her son Michael McCloy, two daughters, Barbara Parker and Nancy Garrett; two brothers, Bill and Jim Dyer; a sister, Margaret DePugh; as well as two husbands, Melvin McCloy and Al Hastings.
June worked at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center as a secretary in the engineering department for many years before her retirement in 1989.
The family would like to thank her special granddaughter Heather Mace, who cared for her grandmother until the end. They would also like to thank the hospice nurses and aides for all the support and compassion they gave June and her family.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will be performed. There will be no public visitation or services.
