In Loving Memory of Juliette (Julie) Lucretia Brandon
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Juliette Lucretia Brandon, aka "Bae Ju" who departed this world on November 1, 2023. She was a shining beacon of love and dedication. She was a super spunky woman that left a mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Juliette Lucretia Brandon (Julie) was born to Juliette and Daniel McNair on January 15, 1934, in Columbia, South Carolina.
As the matriarch of our family, she led with fearlessness and was continually guided by her unwavering faith in God. She had a sense of humor that brightened even the darkest days. Her kindness knew no bounds and her wisdom was a source of strength and guidance to all that had the privilege of knowing her.
Julie is survived by a daughter, Gwendolyn McNair of Bowie, Maryland; a granddaughter, Tamara McNair Paul (Tito) of Delaware, Ohio; and a grandson, Grafton Julian McNair of Bowie, Maryland. She is also survived by six great-grandsons; Tito Paul II and Trey Paul of Delaware, Ohio; Makai McNair, Amir McNair, Amari McNair, and Nasir McNair of Bowie, Maryland. Julie was blessed with one great-granddaughter, Marley McNair, of Bowie, Maryland. Julie was cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, Alvin Long of Columbia, South Carolina and a special niece Sharmelle McNair of Trenton, New Jersey. Her close friends included Vickie Reid, Elizabeth Jones, Jeanette (Pean) Beatty, and Cheryl Hitchens.
Julie was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald Brandon and her son, Randall R. McNair of Chillicothe. She was also pre-deceased by six siblings: Nathaniel, John, Juanita, Verona, Lucy, and Daniel.
Julie was formally educated in Columbia, South Carolina. Her extensive work history showcased her exceptional culinary skills, which she blessed loved ones with daily. Her passion for cooking was the driving force that transitioned into her roles at several commercial establishments in Chillicothe.
Juliette Brandon was not only a pillar of our family, but also a mother of Zion Baptist Church. Her devotion and leadership within the church community left an enduring legacy, which will hopefully inspire generations to come.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be in the hearts of those she touched. Julie Brandon will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the lives she enriched.
Services to celebrate Juliette Lucretia Brandon's life will be held at Zion Baptist Church located at 536 Mill Street, Chillicothe, Ohio on November 18, 2023, at 2pm.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in the cherished memories we hold dear.
