Julia Ann Uhrig, 85, of Chillicothe, died 1:19 pm, Friday, January 10, 2020 at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born April 16, 1934 in Pike Co. to the late Virgil and Mary Daniels Mitchell. On February 23, 1950 she married James E. Uhrig, who survives. Also surviving are her three children, Diana Sue (Lonnie) Horsley, Nancy (John) Allen and James "Jim" (Kathy) Uhrig Jr., all of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren, Tami (Wayne) Hacker, Nathan (Sarah) Horsley, Joy McAbee, Jeff (Angie) Allen, Matt Allen, Justin (Ashley) Allen, Andy (Trish) Uhrig, and Adam (Robin) Uhrig; 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Hamilton, Stoutsville; and a special cousin/best friend, Helen Uhrig. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Margaret McDonald, Donna (Russell) Uhrig, and Walter Mitchell.
Mrs. Uhrig's husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her life. She was a member of Maple Grove Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Bret Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 – 1:00 Wednesday at Haller's.
