Judith "Judy" Ann Turner, 81, former resident of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, following an extended illness at her home in Groveport, Ohio.
Judy was born January 22, 1943, in Chillicothe, OH to the late Howard Veris and Doris (Beatty) Veris . On December 2, 1969, she married Larry H. Turner , who preceded her in death on February 4, 2001.
Judy graduated from Elk Grove High School in Sacramento, California, before attending the Abercorn Nursing School in London, England. She worked as a surgical operation technician at the Chillicothe Hospital and Adena Hospital. She went on to a position of caseworker for the Department of Labor Resource Center and a procedure specialist at the Portsmouth Atomic Plant for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Turner of Circleville; Shawna Turner and Gina Turner of Groveport;

on, Garin Veris of Columbus; and grandchild, Caitlyn Turner of Groveport.
She is also survived by her dear cousin, Barbara Scott of Chillicothe, who was like a sister to her; cousins Kim (Jenise) Veris; Kevin Scott; Angela (Wendell) Scott Tucker; Valerie Scott and many other cousins, loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Judy loved to create beautiful gardens and follow OSU Sports. She was active with her position on her condominium association board of directors. She truly enjoyed the company of her cat "Prince."
On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, a two-hour viewing will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue, Chillicothe,45601. The memorial service will commence at 1:00pm and officiated by The Bishop Obadiah Harris II.
