Judith Ragland-Alderman

Judith "Judy" E. Ragland-Alderman, 49, of Chillicothe, was called home to her Lord and Savior July 9, 2005, at Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1956, in Chillicothe, to the late Edward R. and Mary E. Lee Ragland. On January 27, 1996, she married Alan Joseph Alderman, who survives. Also surviving are her sons Jeffrey Lee (fiancée Erin Carter) Ragland and Joseph Aaron (his companion Cherice Brown) Ragland, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren Gage Mosley, Hannah Mosley, Victoria Brown, Brayden Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law Jeffrey (Phyllis) Ragland, Chillicothe; John (Linda) Ragland, Washington C.H., OH; James (Linda) Ragland, Jackson; sisters Janet Swain and Jill Ragland, both of Chillicothe; aunts Esther R. Winfield, Columbus; E. Jane Ragland, Chillicothe; Ethel Lee, Columbus; an uncle Robert L. Walker, Alaska; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Joey Ragland, and an infant sister Mary Catherine Ragland. Judy worked as a concrete mason. She was an active member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a VBS teacher, Kids Church Talk, Youth Director, member of United Methodist Women, and a Lay Minister. She was a volunteer at the Crisis Center, President of the Lee Family Reunion, and one of the first female members of the Cement Masons Union Local 536. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday at Brookside Church, with Rev. Jeremy Beverly officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Jeffrey Ragland, 110 Stagecoach Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
