Judith E. Peoples, 53, of Chillicothe, passed away 12:10 pm, June 22, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 1, 1956, in Chillicothe, to the late Lewis and Martha Fisher Peoples. Survivors include her sisters, Peggy Eley and Barbara (Bernie) Stearos, of Chillicothe; nieces Robyn Eley and Nicole (Richard) Stotridge; nephew, Brion (Erin) Peoples; great nieces and nephews, Justice Stearos, Whitney and Brooklyn Watts, Ethan and Olivia Stotridge, Aricin and Reagan Helmick, Brion, Braden and Aiden Peoples, Mesha, Chloe, Liam, and Cieran Speakman. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mike. Judy graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1974 and received degrees from Hocking College and Columbus State. She served in the US Navy Reserves until 1993. Judy loved her 23 year career as a respiratory therapist at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a much loved and respected respiratory therapist with a large and loving professional family. Judy enjoyed spending time with others. Most important to her was the time she spent with her nieces and nephews. She volunteered at school and enjoyed following their activities. She is now in the arms of the angels. The family offers sincerest thanks to family and friends who assisted in Judy's care, transportation and treatment during her illness. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday morning in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday at Haller's.
