Joyce Taylor

September 2, 1946 — January 23, 2021

Joyce Eline Taylor, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 23, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 2, 1946 in Chillicothe, daughter of the late Merle and Edith (Seymour) Karshner. On April 29, 1976, she married her beloved husband, Robert Lewis Taylor, and together they shared nearly 45 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two loving children, Damon (Sarah) Taylor, and Lacey (Mike) Long; her beloved grandchildren, Tucker, Harper, and Tenleigh; four siblings, David Karshner, Roger Karshner, Dorothy Imler, and Judy Cartee; close friends, Larry (Sharon) Fisher, and Doris Kness; as well as numerous extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nelson Karshner, Jerry Karshner, and Linda Pinnix.

Joyce was well known among family and friends for having a beautiful smile. Her spunky personality was unmatched and her children fondly remember her dislike of wearing shoes. She lived her life for her family, especially her grandchildren; they were truly her pride and joy. She loved dirt track racing, NASCAR, drag racing, and was an avid golf fan. She also loved tending to her garden and flowers in the summertime, working puzzles, playing cards, going to yard sales, and loves the perfume wind song.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
