Joyce Ruschmann

Joyce A. Ruschmann, 87, of Dayton, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 1:39pm May 12, 2021, at Kettering Medical Center following a brief illness.   She was born May 9, 1934, in Chillicothe, to the late Frank R. and Margaret A. (Livingston) Yerian.   Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Cynthia) Ruschmann, of Centerville; Craig (Barbara) Ruschmann, of Columbus; grandsons: Nicholas (Jasmine) Ruschmann, of Chicago; and Jared Ruschmann, of Miami, FL; a sister (Saundra) Sue (Eddie) Eltzroth, of Shorewood, IL; nieces Cindy Salamandyk, of Minnesota, Kristin Salmandyk, Illinois; nephews Tim Salmandyk, of New Jersey, and Dean Yerian, of Ohio. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Yerian.   Joyce was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1953. She retired from the Chillicothe City Schools, where she had worked in the cafeteria as a cashier. She enjoyed her membership and friends at both the Chillicothe and Dayton American Legions, of which she was a member. She also enjoyed old movies, dancing and all types of music. Joyce especially loved cheering for her OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals football teams.   Graveside services will be held at 2pm Saturday, May 22, in St, Margaret Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.
