Joyce Ann Rahe, a loving mother, and devoted homemaker, entered into eternal peace on February 5, 2026, at the age of 89.
Born December 10, 1936, she found her greatest joy at home, where her creativity and care were always on display. She loved working in her yard, planting flowers, and tending to her home with pride. Her hands were rarely still—she delighted in crafting decorations, weaving baskets, making candles, sewing, cleaning, and creating anything she could envision that brought a smile to others.
A strong and determined woman, she raised six children as a young widow, meeting life’s challenges with hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering determination. In addition to caring for her family, she worked as an administrative assistant at the Chillicothe Veterans Hospital, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for joking with anyone she met. Whether talking with family, friends, or strangers, she could spark a laugh and make people feel at ease.
She will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and creativity. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.
She is survived by her children Mike Rahe (Marti) Hot Springs, Arkansas; Jackie Troutman Canal Winchester; Barry Rahe (Lisa) Chillicothe; Susan Speakman (Tom) Grove City; Julie Dagani (Matt) Sidney, Oh; Tara Smith (Dave) Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Rahe, and sister and brother-in-law Judy and George Baker.
Friends may visit the family at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday February 8, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Brett Smith officiating.
