Joyce Elaine Harris, 78, of Chillicothe, passed away early Friday morning, May 25, 2018 at her home, following a courageous 4 year battle with Lymphoma.
She was born September 16, 1939 , in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Ronald and Mabel (Ward) Hall. On April 5, 1958 , she married Robert Myrl Harris, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2014 .
She is survived by her two daughters, Crystal (Jay) Arledge, and Jacquelyn (Lindsey) Bouillion, both of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon) Jones, Chelsey (J.T.) McMurray, Mackenzie (Steven) Vanderpool, Wesley (McKenzie) Bouillion, and Wyatt Bouillion, all of Chillicothe; four great-grandchildren, Beau McMurray, Scott Jones, Weslynn Bouillion, and Avery Bouillion; a sister, Carol Riley, of Chillicothe; a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Hall, of Marion; a sister-in-law, Karen Harris Allen, of Kingston; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Patricia Reno, and Marilyn Hall; and a brother, Gary Hall.
Joyce was a lifetime member of the Brookside Church in Chillicothe. She spent her life raising her family and caring for others. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her children, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce faced many obstacles throughout her life but her faith always brought her through and she loved unconditionally. Her zest for life was contagious and her infectious laugh will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, nurses, home health aides, caregivers, and workers with the Adena Regional Medical Center, the Adena Cancer Center, and the Heartland Hospice for all of their love and compassion over the last four years.
