Joyce Jean (Amole) Ford, 72, of Chillicothe, died at 4:33pm in her home surrounded by her family following an extended illness. She was born July 27, 1940, in Chillicothe to the late Glenwood and Jeannette (LeBeau) Diehl. On December 26, 1986, she married James O. Ford, who preceded her in death on October 5, 2008. Joyce is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Teri (David) Pack, of McDermott, OH; sons and daughters-in-law John R., Jr. (Joan) Amole, Valrico, FL; Jerry (Dannielle) Amole, Chillicothe; grandchildren: Anya (Josh) Miller, Ryan (April) Notestone, John G. Amole and his fiancée Kelsey Haitz, Dylan Amole, Jed Amole and Carter Amole; great-grandchildren: Jazlynn Miller and Mitchell Amole; her brother Fred (Janice) Diehl, Hamburg, PA; and her former husband John R., Sr. (Janna) Amole, Cuyahoga Falls. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jim; and a grandson Zachary Amole. Joyce was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1958, and was a member of Crouse Chapel United Methodist Church. She had worked at the First National Bank and the VA Medical Center. For the past 20 years, she operated JJ's Wholesale Wreaths and Grave Blankets. She took great pride in her seasonal creations and decorations. Joyce especially enjoyed spending time with her family and loved it most when they all could be together. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday, at the Haller Funeral Home with her brother, Rev. Fred Diehl and Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
