Joy Riddle

Joy Chenault Riddle, 88, of Londonderry, died 5:10 am, July 7, 2024 at NCR-Bristol Village, Waverly, following an extended illness.
She was born October 4, 1935 in Chillicothe to the late Harry D. and Pauline Cave Chenault. On July 13, 1957 she married Henry M. Riddle, who died July 19, 2022. Survivors include two children, Carrie (Ernie) Riddle Strawser, Orlando, FL and Dan (Chris) Riddle, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Michael (Liz) Strawser, Jeremy (Ella) Weaver and Brad (Julie) Weaver; great-grandchildren, Haddon, Clementine, Maggie Joy, George Henry, and Caroline Elizabeth Strawser; Lily, Preston, Piper & Kai Weaver; a sister Lee Anne Lindstrum; a sister-in-law Nancy Chenault. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Harper Weaver; sisters, Julia Kleuesener, Sue Jones, Judy Hines, and her twin, Jill Ehrick; and brothers, Denny, Bob, Harry "Dick", Terry and Lee Chenault.
Joy retired as a cook for the Southeastern School District. She was 20-year member of the Liberty Twp. Auxiliary Fire Department and 65-year member of the Londonderry Community Methodist Church.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Rehabilitation Unit of NCR-Bristol Village, for their excellent care.
Her Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Dean Carroll officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00-1:00 Thursday at Haller's. In lieu of flowers, wind chimes, and other items, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Londonderry Community Methodist Church, PO Box 174, Londonderry, OH 45647-0174.
