Joy Phillips

Joy V. Phillips, 57, of Dover, KY, formerly of Chillicothe, died 9.33 pm, June 5, 2014, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born November 5, 1956 in Ross Co. to the late Charles Sr. and Ruth I. Johnson Hurley. In 1980 she married Steven G. Phillips, who survives. Also surviving is her stepson, Joseph Steven Phillips, of Georgia; brothers and sisters, Charlene, Anthony and Nicky Hurley, all of Bainbridge, Andy Hurley, of Greenfield, Timmy Hurley, of Lancaster, and Charles Hurley Jr., of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Phillips was a 1974 graduate of Huntington High School, and retired as a Technical Sergeant from the United States Air Force in 1996. She enjoyed gardening. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services, conducted by the US Air Force and the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 11 am – 1 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Haller's.
