Joy Grimes

Joy Wandalee Grimes, 81, of Chillicothe, died 7:50 am, Friday, November 16, 2012, at Liberty Village, following a brief illness. She was born January 12, 1931 in Bourneville, OH to the late Lowell A. and Georgia A. Mick Pollock. She married the late H. Gene Grimes, who died in 1978. Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Dorothy Wisecup, Marguerite Storts, Ruth Forsythe, Lucille Stewart, Opal Palmer, Evelyn Johnson and Norma Jean Pollock; and six brothers, Emmit, Roy, Clarence, James, Lowell and Dale. Mrs. Grimes served in the United States Navy. She was an active member of the Eastern Star. Private graveside services will be held in Jacksonville Memory Garden, Jacksonville, FL at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed.
