Joshua Mcintosh

Joshua Douglas McIntosh I, 40, of Chillicothe, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

He was born August 25, 1981 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Stephen and Barbara Jean (Fields) McIntosh.

Surviving is his significant other, Erin McCarthy; son, Joshua Douglas McIntosh II; a step son, Leland Anthony Moser; his siblings, Sean McIntosh and Kim McIntosh; and extended family member Dakota, Caleb, and Sindey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Steven Lee McIntosh and best friend Johnny Lute.

Joshua was currently a graduate at Another Chance Ministries. He was working at PGW full time while still being an amazing father. Josh after 10 months of battling addiction unfortunately succumbed to the temptation and lost the battle. He was a big part of the recovery community and avid member of Zion Baptist ran under Pastor J. Troy Gray. Pastor Gray was a huge impact on Josh's recovery and finding God. Josh is leaving behind a 2 ½ yr old son who he absolutely adored. Josh had big dreams and plans that family will hope to make come true by sharing Josh's story.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. J. Troy Gray officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
