Josephine Davis

Josephine Davis, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday morning, January 25, 2019, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness.
She was born July 5, 1934, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Herbert Harris and Etta Mae Green.
Surviving are her two children, Terry A. Davis, of Chillicothe, and Garry A. Holmes, of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Harley (Ryan) Reynolds, Olivia Holmes, Shannon (Johnathan) Dunlap, and Stacy Francis; and 10 great-grandchildren, Dereck, Tyler, Stacia, Evan, Autumn, Jasmine, Isaiah, Neveah, Treven, and Anastasia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second father, Weldon Dale Davis, and two granddaughters, Nichole Renee Austin, and Garry Ann Holmes.
Josephine was a member of the Eden Baptist Church in Nipgen, Ohio. She also attended the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Zion Baptist Church in Chillicothe, and the Second Baptist Church in Circleville.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Second Baptist Church in Circleville, Ohio with Rev. Derrick Holmes officiating. Friends may join the family for a visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be held in Twin Township Cemetery at 11:00am on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
