Joseph Schneider

Joseph J. Schneider, 66, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly April 23, 2017 in Dayton, OH. He was born October 14, 1950 in Chillicothe to the late Albert J. and Rita Flannigan Schneider. On October 24, 1969 he married Susan Rogers Schneider, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Warren (Kerrie) Schneider, of Huber Heights, OH and Andrew (Jennifer) Schneider, of Roseville, CA; his grandchildren, Brittney, Bridget, and Benjamin Schneider, Matthew and Raechel Romero, and Victoria and Lucas Schneider; great-grandchildren, Odelya, Leona, Emrys, Raven, Wesley, Bellatrix, Jaylen, Lucas, Easton and Maverick; siblings, Margaret (Ray) Nordhagen, of Grove, OK, Albert (Linda) Schneider, Proctorville, OH, Theresa (Randy) Hughes, Angleton, TX, Nicholas (Rhonda) Schneider, of Castleberry, FL, and Christopher (Debbie) Schneider, of Chillicothe.   Mr. Schneider retired as a shop supervisor from Martin-Marietta in 1992. He was a US Army veteran, serving two tours in Viet Nam; a 1968 graduate of Bishop Flaget High School; and a member of the Knights of Columbus.   He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Rev. Patrick Rogers, Celebrant. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, Restoration Fund, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
