Joseph W. Pratt, 86, died at 7:54pm December 17, 2017, in the home of his loving daughter and son-in-law following an extended illness. He was born February 3, 1931, in Frankfort, OH to the late Horace L. and Mary E. (Haney) Pratt. On January 10, 1959, he married the former Patricia A. Bridgewater, who preceded him in death on September 22, 2012. Surviving are his son Joseph L. Pratt, Columbus; daughter and son-in-law Grethel (Larry) Baker, Chillicothe; grandsons Trevor and Nicholas Pratt, Tampa, FL; and his twin sister Joann Gray, Jupiter, FL. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Richard (June) Pratt; sister-in-law Rose Marie Bridgewater; and a grandson Gregory Joseph Pratt. Joe was a graduate of Frankfort High School, Class of 1949. He then served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Joe retired from the Mead Paper Co. in 1995 where he worked as a pipefitter. He was a member of the Frankfort Lodge # 309, F & AM, Ross County Shrine Club, Aladdin Shrine Club, the Great Seal Band of Ohio and the First Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir. Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday, December 22, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Dr. Jason Link and Rev. James Grove officiating. Military Graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7pm at Haller's.
