Joseph Metcalf

Joseph Paul Metcalf, 58, of Chillicothe, formerly of Nelsonville, died August 30, 2005, in his home, unexpectedly. He was born October 10, 1946 in Guysville, OH to Paul and Colleen Metcalf. Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Nancy Welch, of Chillicothe; two sons, Shawn Metcalf, of Columbus and Michael (Dawnette) Welch, of Gnadenhutten, OH; three daughters, Amy (Brian) Metcalf, of Grove City, Dottie (Shawn) Clark, of Chillicothe, and Kelly (Bill) Bowens, of Columbus; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Dan (Mariann) and Tim Metcalf, of Columbus, Sam Metcalf, of Logan, Tom (Karen), Philip and Mark Metcalf, of Nelsonville; sisters, Martha (Paul Davis) Steinbrink, Annie Harkless, and Ruth Metcalf, of Nelsonville, and Mary (Jerry) Winchell, of The Plains; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Metcalf worked for the J. T. Marzetti Company until the time of his death. Funeral services will be held Sunday, at 2:00 pm, in the Risen Redeemer Church, Nelsonville, Rev. Johnnie Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
