Joseph Eugene Kutschbach, 87, died at his home in Pleasant Valley on October 8, 2024. He was born April 25, 1937, in Chillicothe to the late Charles and Gladys Good Kutschbach. On November 26, 1958, he married the love of his life, Liz Streitenberger, who survives.
Surviving are seven children: Lisa (Russ) Brohl, Laine (Mark) Proehl, Mary Kutschbach, Tina (John Allen) Kutschbach, Joe (Pam) Kutschbach, John Kutschbach and Matt (Amy) Kutschbach. He was Grandpa to Russell Brohl, Gretchen (Dan) Trunk, Eric (Kasey) Proehl, Megan (Brendan) Costilow, Tyler Kutschbach and Katie Kutschbach. He was Great-Grandpa to Blair, Annie and Lilah Trunk, Luke and Lily Proehl and Kathleen and Marty Costilow.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his siblings John Kutschbach, Jane Kutschbach, Jim Kutschbach, Judy Kutschbach, Jerry Kutschbach, Jack Kutschbach and Jennifer Wheeler.
A 1955 graduate of Centralia High School, Joe worked for many years at Baldwin Printers. Following their closure, he worked with his friend, Don Dennewitz, building houses and digging/installing swimming pools. But most of all he was the best husband and Daddy, taking care of his family was his priority. Joe also loved fishing anywhere he could, a passion that lives on in his children. He was well-known for his cooking and always baked the best cookies. The love he had for his family was a shining example to all.
There will be no service as he requested. Cremation will take place.
