Joseph Frazier

Joseph Ray Frazier, 81, of Chillicothe, died 7:49 pm, March 5, 2018, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.   He was born February 19, 1937 in Greenup, KY to the late Shirley and Goldie Potter Frazier. On May 31, 1959 he married Sonja Shoemaker, who died May 20, 2013. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa (Chris) Wells Smith, of Chillicothe; a son, Darin (Tami) Frazier, of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Josey (his fiancée Allison Morgan), Justin, Jordan, and Jackson Wells and Morgan Frazier; three sisters, Emma Salley, of Hendersonville, TN, Karen Sue (John) Butterbaugh, of Chillicothe, and Francis Cyrus, of Dayton, OH; a brother, Bud (Mary) Frazier, of Chillicothe; a host nieces and nephews; and special friends, Stuart Carson and Delbert Allison. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Wheeler.   Joe retired from Chilpaco after nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of Scioto Lodge 6 F&AM, a former race car driver, an award winning trap shooter, and enjoyed antiques.   Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
