Jonathan Tyree Freeman, 49, of Chillicothe, died Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, unexpectedly, due to heart conditions. He was born October 8, 1962 to Richard Freeman and Phyllis J. Freeman-Palmer. Survivors include his parents; his son, Nathaniel Taylor-Joseph Freeman; daughter, Alyssa Nichole Freeman; girlfriend, Deborah Vonville; mother of Nathaniel and Alyssa, Allison Flynn; and many other relatives. Jon loved playing basketball, softball and he especially loved to cook and garden. He also loved football and was a big Cleveland Browns fan and a huge Ohio State Buckeye Fan. He was employed at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution for over 15 years and his last position held was unit manager. Jon did not know a stranger and was loved by everyone he met, and will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. John Hocker, Andrea McNeal and Donna LaRock. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 5-8 Tuesday at Haller's.
