John Ziskowski

Dr. John Joseph Ziskowski, 69, of Chillicothe, died 1:21 pm, January 9, 2018, after a short battle with cancer.                        John was born January 2, 1949 in Carbondale, PA, the son of the late Walter and Irene Blasko Ziskowski. On June 20, 1981 he married Irene Agatha Papp Ziskowski, who survives. John also leaves behind two children, Angela Ziskowski and her husband Daniel Lamp, and Peter Ziskowski and his wife Alyson; and a brother, Walter (Ann) Ziskowski Jr. He had one granddaughter, Alexandra Lamp. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Peter (Nancy Ann) Ziskowski.   John attended the University of Scranton and the Universita di Bologna, where he received his degrees in medicine. He was a pathologist, a deputy county coroner, and work for the Adena Health System for over 25 years. He loved playing golf, growing exotic tomatoes, and collecting art glass.   The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday at St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8:00 pm Friday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 pm.
