John Woodward

John R. Woodward, 65, died at 6:45pm August 16, 2014, at the Ohio State University Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born November 25, 1948, in Findlay, OH to the late Austin and Dohna M. (Roberts) Woodward. John is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Nancy G. Osborne, of Chillicothe; an uncle and aunt Nick and Peg Saladino, of Kentwood, LA; and many friends including longtime dear friends Barb and Harold Webb, of Chillicothe. John was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education. He retired as an accounting teacher from the Chillicothe City Schools following 25 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and athlete. He was a sports star all through school, especially while playing football in both high school and college. He was very proud of his Louisiana heritage. In keeping with his wishes, cremation services will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
