John Woodruff

John M. Woodruff, 66, of Chillicothe, died at 2:55pm Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born February 8, 1945, in Ross County to the late Robert C. and Eunice M. (Harrington) Woodruff. On October 6, 1967, he married the former Ellen Victoria "Vickey" Detty, who survives. Also surviving are his brothers Bob and Thomas Woodruff; his sisters Margaret Miller; Leota Lawhorn; Martha Dyer; Linda Hutchison; and Bonnie Hutchison, all of Chillicothe; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Ruth Rhoades. John was a member of Hilltop Mission Church, 398 Lunbeck Rd., where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, July 5. A dinner and fellowship at the church will follow the service. While flowers will be accepted, memorial contributions to the family would be much appreciated.
