John Wissinger

John E. Wissinger, Jr., 73, of Frankfort, passed away quietly to join his wife, at 6:19pm June 2, 2020, in the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe.   John was born July 8, 1946, in Dayton, OH, to the late John E., Sr. and Mary T. (Waldron) Wissinger. On February 14, 1987, he married the former Reva N. Berry, who preceded him in death on July 16, 2007.   Surviving are his daughter Tanya (Mike) Skaggs; and granddaughter Jyllian Skaggs. of Washington CH, OH. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Reva, and his special feline companion "Kammi."   John was a Purple Heart Recipient for his service in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the 1 St Marine Division Assoc. and a lifetime member of the DAV. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the VA Medical Center, the Community Living Center and especially to his caregiver Megan Clouser for their care and compassion.   Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held at 11am Saturday, June 6, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
