John Tull

John S. Tull, 71, of Chillicothe, went to be with his Lord at 5:49am Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born November 26, 1940, in Ross County to the late Lawrence and Margaret (Dearth) Tull. John is survived by his wife, Helen Taylor Tull; daughters Rhonda Margaret (Bill) Lott; Jodi Leigh (Brian) Bowen, all of Chillicothe; Jawn Elizabeth (Armando) DiBernardo, Pickerington; Twanna (Marcus) Hamlin, Greenfield; son Mark (Jamie) Taylor, Chillicothe; daughter Michelle (Richard) Miller, Frankfort; son Brandon (Breanna) Taylor, Frankfort; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Russell (Esther) Thompson, Frankfort; Thelma Harris, Greenfield; Ruth Ann Stine, Ariz.; Charles (Katie) Newland, Frankfort; Deborah (Phil) Baney, North Baltimore; Jerry (Pam) Newland, Marion; Joe Kerns, Humbolt. He was predeceased by his parents, a great-granddaughter Alyssa Raylynn, and a sister Laverne Johnston. John was the owner/operator of JR's Auto Repair. He also worked as the Unioto Schools bus mechanic and had worked for the Chillicothe Transit System. He served his country in the US Navy from 1960-62. He was an active member of the Jefferson Ave. CCCU where he was in charge of the food pantry, the MMM fish fryer, videographer and participated in many of the church plays and dramas. John was a former member of the Scioto Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. and helped build the Twp. Garage. John loved to go camping and his family will remember him as the "Camping King of the World." Helen is certain he is in Heaven sitting at a camp fire with his friend Dave waiting for the rest of us to join them. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Saturday, November 10, at the Jefferson Ave. CCCU, with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating. Military honors, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will take place at the conclusion of the funeral service. Friends may call Saturday from Noon until 3pm at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Ave. CCCU Food Pantry, 770 Jefferson Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
