John Stoneburner

John O. Stoneburner, 94, of Ray, OH, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007, in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1912, in Athens, OH to the late Jonathan and Annette (Motes) Stoneburner. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Audrey (Davis) Stoneburner, who died Nov. 23, 1983; and a daughter Margaret (Majel) Henry, who died March 14, 2006. Surviving are his daughter Hazel Mercer, Chillicothe; daughters and sons-in-law Donna (Clifton) Fouty, Jackson, OH; and Della (Don) Henry, Wellston; grandchildren: Kay Spradlin, Brenda Willis, Marilyn Oliver, Mike Fouty, Bobby Fouty, Theresa Wells, Mellissa Henderson, Rick Atwood, Tony Atwood, Bucky Mercer, Eddie Mercer, Clifton Fouty, David Fouty, Angie Remy, Valerie Byces, Donnie Henry, Shannon Henry, Tracy Dupree and Hillary Mercer; 34 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and his faithful companion Kid. He will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 23, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
