John W. Stevens, was born March 2, 1934, son of the late John and Maude Stevens.
John always had a way of doing things his way. On Wednesday, his best friend in the world passed away from this life, "Buddy" his dog. John felt he would go too, his work on earth was done.
John was hard-working and was able to do about anything he put his mind to. He loved to hunt, fish at Lake Erie, and do beautiful woodworking projects for family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Donna (Bakos) Stevens on September 20, 2020. From this union they had one son, Tracy (Cindy) Stevens, of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Jonathan (Blayne) Stevens, of Kingston, and Kathryn Stevens, of Chillicothe; three great-grandsons, Lantz & Ryker Stevens, and Jayden Gallagher.
John was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 189 until his retirement.
Private interment will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In his honor, memorial contributions can be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
