John Stanhope

John F. Stanhope, 92, passed from this life on April 3, 2023 at home.    He is survived by daughter, Carolyn (Chris Davis) Ward; granddaughters Deborah Hill and Nicole Manuel; several great-grandchildren including special great-grandson, Aiden Lane.  He leaves behind special friends and cousins, Colby and Sheila (Hines) Skaggs, Nathan Skaggs, and Alissa Skaggs; along with his right hand friend and caretaker, Paulette Shepherd.  John is predeceased by his parents, Tiffin and Cecile (Hines) Stanhope; brother Lloyd Stanhope; daughter Deborah North, grandson Joseph Manuel; his first wife and mother of his children, Francis Stoneburner Stanhope, along with his second wife, Beverly Hester Stanhope.   John was honorably discharged from the Ohio National Guard and retired from the Maintenance Dept. of Mead Paper Mill.  John was very loved and a great mentor to those closest to him.   Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
