John Sparks

John I. Sparks John I. Sparks, 87, of Chillicothe, died 2:08 pm Monday, December 12, 2005 in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an brief illness. He was born November 6, 1918 in Linden, Missouri to Marvin and Flora Catherine Davis Sparks. On December 31, 1939 he married Emaleen Ann Williams, who died January 1, 2002. Survivors include a daughter, Polly (Michael) True, of Chillicothe; two sons, Paul (Lori) Sparks, Washington and Terry Sparks, of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Kathleen (Luke) Rapp, Lori (Doug) Kirby, Jennifer Davis Hagen, John Michael True, Jennifer Rose Parker Sparks, and Morgan Sparks; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Willie Mae Riley, of Kansas City, MO; and a special friend, Linda Keener. Mr. Sparks was a World War II Navy Veteran. He had retired from Wearever/Alcoa and was a dedicated employee of WalMart. He was a founding member and treasurer of the Ross Co. Fair Junior Sale Committee. Even while he was living in Myrtle Beach, he requested that friends send the fair results to him. Upon returning to Chillicothe, he continued to attend the meetings of the committee. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday in the Haller Funeral Home.
