John Mcnair

John M. McNair John M. McNair, 85, of Chillicothe, formerly of Trenton, NJ, died 10:30 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2009, in the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, following an extended illness. He was born December 3, 1923 in Columbia, SC to Dan and Juliette Waiters McNair. His wife Amanda died in 1987. Survivors include two sisters, Juliette Brandon, of Chillicothe and Lucy Howell, of Columbia, SC; numerous nieces and nephews including a nephew Donald McNair; niece Gail Hull; and great-niece Sharmel McNair, all of Trenton, NJ, whom he raised as his own; special friends, Dana Fields, Emery Coker, and Jake Payne. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Mr. McNair was a World War II Army veteran. He was a retired Building Supervisor and Security Guard for Princeton University. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial in Trenton, NJ, will take place Monday. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday at Haller's.
