John Johnson

John William Johnson, 88, of Chillicothe, died April 6, 2016, at this home, following an extended illness. He was born June 12, 1927 in Richmond Dale, OH to the late Charles M. and Eliza Brandon Johnson. On April 28, 1962 he married Mary G. Freeman, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Terry Johnson, Coolville, OH and Debbie Thomas, Chillicothe; a grandchild, Travis Hicks, Chillicothe; two sisters, Francis (Richard) Payne, Richmond Dale and Delores (Bill) Rogers, Kansas City, MO; a brother, Alfred (Donna) Johnson, Greenfield; a brother-in-law, Bill (Cindy) Freeman, Chillicothe; and special friends, Clint Ison and Bernard Bethel. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Barksdale. Mr. Johnson was a self employed appliance technician and enjoyed playing music. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed.
