John Haynes

John R. Haynes, 80, of Chillicothe, died 12:10 pm, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born February 21, 1930 in Toledo, OH to the late John M. and Cleora L. Fields Haynes. On June 8, 1980 he married the former Lucinda "Cindy" E. Crawford, who survives. Additional survivors include his children, Janet (Charles) Bisogna, of Florida, Barbara (Richard) Soden, of Madison, OH, and Jean Jahr, of Colorado; two step-daughters, Kelly (Mike) Tschudy and Tonya (Dave) Campbell; a step-son, Jason Michael Fain; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Jack (Doris) Haynes; a sister-in-law, Vicki (Denver) Countryman; several nieces and nephew; and his dog peanut. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, a sister, Elizabeth Haynes; and a son-in-law, Tom Jahr. Mr. Haynes retired as a Master Chief Warrant Officer from the US Navy in 1969 and from Harts in 1993. He enjoyed volunteering with the Adena Health System. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. The family would like to thank Adena Hospice for their care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Larry Ault officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Sunday at the Haller Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service on Monday.
