John Harmon

John E. Harmon, 66, of Lancaster, died 9:40 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, following an extended illness. He was born July 18, 1944 in Columbus, OH to John and Fern Miller Harmon. On January 3, 1967 he married the former Kathleen M. Huffer, who survives. Also surviving are his three sons, John E. (Katrina) Harmon, of Madison, OH, Keith (Sou) Harmon, of Canal Winchester, OH, and Bryan (Jennifer) Harmon, of Lancaster, OH; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Harmon, of Bremen, OH and Danny Harmon, of Lancaster; and a sister, Barb Woltz, of Lancaster, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carol Meade and Sandy Huffer. Mr. Harmon was active in several civic organizations and enjoyed his time as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. Following cremation, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
