John Carroll

John L. Carroll, 60, of Chillicothe, died at 9:42pm Monday, May 2, 2011, at Select Specialty of Mt. Carmel West, Columbus, following an extended illness. He was born June 20, 1950, in Chillicothe to David and Marilyn (Dickerson) Carroll. On December 17, 1971, he married the former Barbara J. Marz, who survives. Also surviving are his son David Carroll; his granddaughter Natalie Carroll; his mother and step-father Marilyn (Charles) Francis, all of Chillicothe; his sisters Karen and Bonnie; and his special canine companion, "Kellie". John was predeceased by his father, David; sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Harold "Sonny" Ours; and a brother George Carroll. John was realtor for 32 years working with ERA Martin and Assoc. and was a member of the First Wesleyan Church. He was a Little League Baseball Coach and an avid sports fan rooting for the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. John was also a former member of the Eagles Aerie 600. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 6, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor B. Jay Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
